Spring Cleaning

Yesterday was the first day of spring. It's always great when the calendar allows you an opportunity to do a reset on any aspect of your life.

So much has happened since my last blog post in December. First thing is I turned 40. Next I launched my personal prayer project (I still need a better description) at the end of January and that included me joining a CrossFit gym. Finally I have made some small progress on my anger research paper (I need to blog specifically about that I think).

As the 1st quarter of 2016 comes to a close and Spring is taking her time rolling out the warm weather (It's 55 degrees today in North Carolina), I'm feeling pretty good about things.

The contract I am working on has been extended until Memorial Day.  It's been such an incredible experience, I couldn't be more grateful. I'm excited about where I will be going next and what that project will be.

My annual review was last week, and I received a promotion and a raise! I am heavily investing in "gratitude" this year. I'm looking forward to taking on some additional responsibilities within the firm. The first step in that process begins tomorrow.

There have been many other activities too many to list here, but all of them are geared to me learning, growing and having fun.

Finally, I want to get back into blogging here. I have redesigned the site. I'd like to blog once a week, either here or somewhere else. Nothing too complicated. Time to put away and store the winter clothes, and embrace the warmth and opportunity that spring invites us to experience.
